FRC couplings are designed to absorb shock loads, impact loads, and vibration. They do this by using a tempered spring steel grid that is sandwiched between two hubs. The grid is able to flex and absorb the shock loads, which helps to protect the drive shaft, parts, and machinery connected to it. If an overload occurs, the grid will fail before the drive shaft or other components do. This helps to prevent damage to the equipment and keep the machine running smoothly.
